Darkness or Light
My images are not a mirror of the visible world. Abstraction allows me a means to challenge, reflect on, and change the way I see myself and treat my World. Beauty seems tainted and darkened by pain and suffering. We often ignore the truth hidden below the surface of what we see.
We can choose Darkness or Light. Sustainability is not someone else’s problem.

Darkness or Light
A searing birth, beginning in flames, Eternity opens and Time is born,
A Universe made from Cosmic games- From nothing comes something, Night and Morn.
Elements grow and grow again, Suns are made, and worlds appear,
Atoms of Life, in soothing rain; Beauty is fragile, as yet no fear,
We look, without care, at a World in Pain, Work, Play, Pollute, “It’s not our fault!”
Prisoners of ourselves, our need for Gain, We no longer remember how to call halt.
Earth, Air and Water abused by us, Too late for the forests, the cities too
Entropy and Chaos, we accept it’s thus, We hide from reality, “nothing we can do!”
We judge ourselves, our past deplored, Where are We, without our Might?
It ends in Heat, the Truth ignored, Atrophy or Rebirth? Darkness or Light?
